Abstract
Itraconazole is a fungistatic antifungal with a broad spectrum of action, including yeast, Pityrosporum orbiculare, dermatophytes and aspergils, preferably also on non-albicans yeast (Candida crusei, Candida glabrata). The principle of its action is the blockade of enzymatic activities dependent on the function of cytochrome P-450.
