Abstract
Johann Waller became the chief of the Dermatologic Department in 1848 after the death of Alois kraus. Waller became the extraordinary professor of skin diseases and syphidology at the Charles - Ferdinand University in Prague in year 1851.
His field of specialization in dermatolovenerology was syphilis and its contagiosity. He demonstrated the infectivity of secondary stage of syphilis transferring the secretion from condylomata lata of the ill patient to the healthy person.
He published a lot about this proof in the journal "Vierteljahrschift für die praktische Heilkunde".
