NASH and other diseases in diabetic patients

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is an independent risk factor for the virus hepatitis C type, as well as for the development of the hepatocelullar cancer. The patients with diabetes type 2. have usually fatty liver - steatosis, that is known in some cases like a steatohepatitis with possibility of progression to the liver cirrhosis.

Some of the antidiabetic drugs can act like liver toxins, that means treatment of the diabetes may be complicated with symptoms hepatocelular damage. All of physicians must think about of possibility of liver disease in each of diabetic patients.
