The authors present their results obtained using the M2A endoscopic capsule method compared to push-enteroscopy. In their work they focused mainly on the diagnosis of unexplained bleeding into the small intestine.
If this diagnosis is suspected, the M2A method should be an endoscopic capsule method of choice. Also, for the diagnosis of Crohn's disease and malabsorption syndrome, this method has a significantly higher diagnostic yield than push-enteroscopy.
The balloon endoscopy method is also briefly discussed.
