Abstract
The evaluation of the occurrence of hypersensitivity to individual allergens over certain period of time provides the knowledge of trends in present development in the population of a given area. The spectrum of most often demonstrated allergens is changing in relation to various factors.
The frequency of sensitization to individual allergens of the European standard set varies in different periods of time and different parts of the world, as influenced by customs, specific for the given region (lifestyle, culture, working environment and work habits, hygienic requirements, and therapeutic tradition), and there is also the influence of age distribution and the share of atopy. The contribution deals with the evaluation of results of epicutaneous tests in three period of time within the time lapse of 10 years, a comparison of the differences between sexes and the observation of trends in the allergens used.
