Clinical signs of a tick meningoencephalitis

Abstract

Central European tick encephalitis belongs among neuroinfections with relatively higher incidence. It affects annually several hundreds of patients in Czech Republic.

The disease has usually a good prognosis, however long convalescence or long-term rehabilitation of caused paralysis is necessary. The number of diseases is stable in last years.

Forms of the disease, possibilities of diagnosis, treatment and prevention are presented in the article.
