How to understand children with Prader-Willi syndrome and how to approach them

Abstract

In 1956, Swiss endocrinologists Prader, Labhart, and Willi described groups of children wearing physical characteristics - short stature, weakened muscle tone, overweight, delayed sexual development, and slightly impaired mental abilities. The set of symptoms described was called Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS).
