Abstract

Medicine worldwide has recently become more and more inclined to detect the early stages of metabolic diseases and the possibilities of their therapeutic interventions. Diabetology not only has an accelerated development of fundamental etiopathogenetic knowledge in recent years, which significantly affects conceptual changes, but part of the shift in the traditional paradigm is the emphasis on prediabetes and associated early stages and other risk symptoms of metabolic syndrome - prehypertension, dyslipidemia, etc. "- known for decades - is only now becoming part of the mainstream of clinical medicine.
