We report a patient with tricuspid atresia after total cavopulmonary connection who developed significant mitral valve regurgitation. Doppler myocardial echocardiography tracings showed "pseudonormalization" of diastolic velocities.
After successful surgical reconstruction of the mitral valve, the diastolic myocardial velocities changed to the typical Fontan physiology with predominant late diastolic ventricular filling.
