Abstract
Condylomata acuminata are viral histologically benign disease mostly of young sexually active people. They are caused by human papillomaviruses, which also cause pre-cancers and cancers of the cervix, vulva, oropharynx, anus and penis.
This article deals with the origin, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of genital warts. In depth are discussed various methods of treatment, importance of HPV vaccination and proper managment of the disease.
