This doctoral thesis aimed on rehabilitation for children with cystic fibrosis (CF) provides basic overview of methods and techniques of respiratory physiotherapy (RPT). It considers practical application of RPT for children at preschool age and the effect of RPT connected to future live perspectives of these patients.
It focuses on RPT of newborns and suckling connected with progress in diagnosis and treatment of CF. Early detection of CF in first months of child’s life and now also establishment of CF neonatal screening in the Czech Republic means urgent need to search for new methods of physiotherapy with beginning at early childhood.
