An update of the recommended procedure (guideline) for the primary complex treatment of uterine cancer is developed. A literary analysis, analysis of statistical data from the Czech Republic was performed and a proposal was prepared for the submitter, which was opposed by a group of experts.
The authors were based on the 1998 treatment standard. The resulting draft is a consensus reached by a vote of the expert group.
The standard describes diagnostic-therapeutic procedures and complex primary treatment. The importance of teamwork is emphasized in the diagnostic and therapeutic algorithm.
The extent of surgical intervention is based on therapeutic consideration. The development of views on the spread of endometrial cancers and the analysis of the causes of therapy failure on the one hand, and on the other hand the effort to minimize post-therapeutic complications led to a change in the treatment standards of these tumors.
