Effect of various experimental, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on airway epithelial cells

Abstract

The ultrastructure of the epithelium of terminal bronchioles and its reactivity to various stimuli was studied and compared to the reaction of tracheal epithelium. Secretory cells in the two levels differ not only morphologically, but also functionally.
