Conditions for Catheterization of Aortic Valve in the Czech Republic: Joint Document of the Working Group of the Czech Society of Cardiology and the Czech Society of Cardiovascular Surgery

Abstract

Aortic stenosis is now the most frequent native valve defect in Europe, and as is the case in the Czech Republic. (1) If symptomatic aortic stenosis, or causes disturbance left ventricular function is the method of choice of surgical aortic valve replacement, which is indicated in cases performed with low mortality and good long-term results even in elderly patients. Aortic valve improves survival in a number of sub-operated.
