Abstract
The annual report on renal replacement therapy (RRT) in children in the Czech Republic gives the 2009 year data on the incidence of the end stage renal disease (ESRD) with 6,5 pmarp which is similar to the incidence reported by ERA-EDTA. The prevalence of ESRD 30,6 pmarp remains stabile for consecutive last 4 years, still low comparing to ERA-EDTA data (55,4).
Peritoneal dialysis is the most common first choice modality of RRT in Czech pediatric ESRD population.
