The place of insulin glargine in the complex intervention of developed complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract
A case report of a 73-year-old man treated for type 2 diabetes mellitus, who developed specific complications of diabetes (severe forms of neuropathy, manifest nephropathy), is presented. The complex intervention positively affected the developed complications, the improvement of HbA1c. 0.8% after switching from insulin to lispro / glargine combination was a prerequisite for subjective improvement in diabetic neuropathy.
