The dynamics of everyday life in dialogue with E. Levinas

Publication at Faculty of Humanities |
2014

Abstract

This contribution analyses everyday life from a dynamic standpoint within two main areas: within the relation of a man towards his natural world, and within the relation of a man towards another man. In both cases, a tension is identified between the subject and the other, either as a world, or as an other man, wherein lies the dynamic core of everyday life.

This tension forms not only the content of our life, but it also constitutes who we are.
