The paper is dedicated to Friedrich/ Bedřich Feigl. He could play his role of a painter at the crossroad of three nations thanks to his German-Czech-Jewish origin.
He mingled with different groups of artists regardless of their nationalities and was able to help them get in touch with each other in a priceless manner. These links allowed the creation of a communication network between the cultural centres in Prague, Berlin, Dresden etc. allowing artists to develop their creative activities in the interwar period at both sides of the Czech-German border.
