This study focuses its attention on the relationships between organizational context and volunteer activities of senior population. It works on the assumption that organizational socialization and professionalization have mixed effects on the volunteering variability of old persons.
This assumption is tested on the quantitative empirical data gathered in the year 2009. The negative effect of ideologically deformed organizational socialization to which the elderly volunteers were exposed during the communist era, on their actual scale of volunteering activities was not proved.
