Abstract
Ageing is a natural process therefore an elderly person deserves to be perceived adequately. Care for this group of people must be targetted, unforced, justified with respect and understanding of changes which aging of population brings in both individual and society-wide scale.
The development of a modern society contributed to a prolongation of a population active age. Longevity brings need for analyzing this phenomenon and prevention fo any kinde of vulgarization, simplification and generalization.
