Abstract
Application provides automatic publication of both map services from raster data stored in the native PostGIS Raster format and related metadata. This relatively new way of raster data storage allows for exploiting of analytical procedures implemented within the data store.
Thus the data transfers from the storage to the analytical applications are minimized. Implemented connection between database system and metadata catalogue GeoNetwork opensource and map server GeoServer supports automatic publication of map services from raster data stored in the native PostGIS Raster format and metadata of these images.
