Abstract
The article describes the history of psychology in the Czech Republic with a focus on the development of the discipline within universities and research institutions. The authors deal with older history and origin of Czech psychology in other fields.
We describe the development of Czech psychology after 1918 within the Czechoslovak Republic, especially in the field of work psychology and psychotechnic. Motivated by the work of the histographer of Czech psychology J.
Hoskovec we want to pay tribute with this article. We summarise the current state of psychology and designate existing associations, published magazines and major trends in Czech psychology.
