The article deals with the author-reader relationship in philosophy. It suggests, via analyzing S.

Kierkegaard, that the role of the reader is far from passive, receptive - a reader does not merely recieve ideally conceived communication of the author - but, on the contrary, a reader ought transform into a productive self-author.
