The article discusses the concept of strategic governance and its applicability to the analysis of security policy. In the first and theoretical part, the notions "strategic governance" and "security governance" are presented and discussed.
This is done based on the current academic literature on the topic. Based on this discussion, a synthetic concept "strategic security governance" is proposed.
The attention is paid especially to the indicators of this concept, based on which the security policy could be analyzed. In the following and practical part, the concept is applied to the security policy of the Czech Republic.
