Lipomatous hypertrophy of the interatrial septum: a possibly neglected cause of sudden cardiac death

Abstrakt

The article comments on an rare morphological entitty - lipomatous hypertrophy of the interatrial septum which is regarded as a possible and neglected cause of sudden cardiac death. The lesion was disclosed at cardiac autopsy in an 89-year-old-woman who was found lifeless in the corridor of her apartament.
