A Study of Directly Compressible Tableting Materials and Tablets with Two Types of Carbopol(R) Polymers

Abstract

The paper evaluated the compressibility and rate of release of the active ingredient from hydrophilic matrix tablets containing Carbopol 71G NF polymer and Carbopol 971P NF polymer in concentrations of 5, 10, 15 and 20%. Compressibility is evaluated by means of the energy profile of compression and tensile strength of tablets.
