Mutlicultural topics in CLIL mathematics lesson

Abstract

The auhtors in the paper describe a teaching unit piloted in a CLIL mathematics lesson in the 7th grade of a Prague school. The teaching unit Triangles includes multicultural topics.

The teaching unit was conducted in English and supported by the use of mobile devices. The authors discuss the motivational value and potential of the use of CLIL methodology, of inclusion of multicultural issues and of use of mobile technological devices in mathematics lessons.
