This study evaluates the compression proces of tablets using three fillers intended for direct compression in terms of energy parameters. This evaluation used the force-displacement record and the stress relaxation test.
The force-displacement record evaluates the phase of compression and relaxation. The stress relaxation method evaluates the interphase between tablet compression and its relaxation.
We compared the energy parameters of the force-displacement record and stress relaxation test in the terms of impact of the structure of all tested fillers. The force-displacement record and the stress relaxation test are based on different principles.
Using three different model fillers we obtained results, which indicate, that both methods are comparable.
