Abstract
Education towards health is a significant aspect to achieve health literacy and readiness of human and to live a balanced life. Therefore, health promotion was integrated within the curricular reform as a general education field into school programs and educational school activities.
Implementation of health education in schools puts high demands on professional and methodical proficiency of teachers. The text is designed for students of qualifying distance studies who chose health education as major in specialized didactics.
It presents selected topics of didactics of health education, which can support development of pedagogical competencies of students in preparation and implementation of teaching health education in primary and secondary schools.
