The contribution deals with the issue of cohabitation considering population and housing census methodology held in the Czech Republic. Census data by age, marital status, attained education and economic activity are analysed.
In addition, the changes in trends are discussed. For instance, in census 2011 majority of cohabitation consist of single and young persons, while the share of divorced or divorced-widowed couples diminishes.
Furthermore, an issue of self-perceived health with respect marital status will be discussed too.
