Abstract
The contribution deals with the reflection of the transformation of the headmaster of the school in the context of the creation of a system of career teachers. Due to the definition of the functions of the Headmaster of the school context is directly related to the function of the author's research attention has been focused in particular on the key point of development, the transformation of the headmaster of the school.
The article is intended rather to historian and points to the unfinished career development system of the Czech Republic and its critical place.
