Development of age structure of the inhabitants of the municipalities in a wide area of Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant 1980-2011
Abstract
The aim of the specialized map is to show how the age structure of the municipalities in the wide area of Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant (EDU) changed in the years after its entry into service and to determine whether there is a potential impact of the plant on the situation in nearby municipalities. Although Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant did not totally reverse the unfavorable development of the age structure, which is evident at the level of Czechia as a whole (as has happened in some suburban municipalities), in the municipalities which are connected to EDU by commuting, we can observe favorable a more favourable development than in other municipalities of the region and than in the region as a whole.
