Do parents need media education basics for child-upbringing?

Abstract

The paper present the topic of parenting education in the field of media. We mention the key information from previous research and the theoretical context (especially the long-life learning, media education of adults and the sociology of the family).

The author concentrates on a question, how parents of children (up to 6 years old) approach further education in the field of parenting education. Present information draws from qualitative research, which is a part of wider research project supported by Grant agency of Charles University.
