Abstract

The contribution illustrated the adoption of foreign methods of constitutional reasoning from two viewpoints. In the first part the political and cultural context of the democratic transition in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is illustrated, in the second part there are discussed selected doctrines that were echoed by the constitutional courts of the above-mentioned countries.
