The role of surface treatment of any dental implant was mostly studied from the biocompatibility point of view. The surface roughness is one of the most important factors influencing the value of friction coefficient.
The comparative numerical analyses between implant fabricated from different materials and friction between bone and implant interface was done. The stress arises from the contact movement between the implant and the bone during each turn of the implant.
The function of stress on fiction is nonlinear with a low slope for all the cases.
