Commuting to selected centers in Czechia

Publication

Abstract

Commuting to work is one of the form of spatial mobility, which is substantial for the assessment of the relationship between place of residence and place of work. It also participates in the formation of functional spatial relationships within the settlement structure and commuting is a crucial phenomenon exploited for example in the socio-geographical regionalization.

The aim of the map sheet is based on the same methodology to compare the range and the structure of inward and outward commuting to work for selected centers of Czechia in 1961 (the first year of the survey commuting relations) and 2011 (latest available data).
