The present study material aims to draw attention to the specifics of the way of life and culture, socio-professional groups mason workers operating in the southwestern part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in the timing of years 1890-1938. The author tries to describe the genesis and formation of industrial workers in terms of local agrarian society far more industrial and urban agglomerations and on the interpretation of relevant information sources (literature, written sources and field research) to highlight the consequences of this process.
