The plastic heat exchanger with increased efficiency

Abstract

The described prototype is an updated and optimized version of functional sample "Plastic heat exchanger for medical purposes." The main innovation is implementation of components for increased efficiency: laminarizers. These components create a laminar flow of the tempering fluid inside the heat exchanger and thereby they significantly increase its efficiency, up to 30%.

Another innovation is a pair of temperature sensors that are permanently integrated in the shell and are used for monitoring temperature of tempered liquid on input and output of the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is made of medical certified plastic that does not activate the clotting cascade.

The described prototype of heat exchanger has become a template for mass production of heat exchangers.
