Abstract
The article is a contribution to the topic of contemporary library buildings. It focuses on an important architectural project of last years in the field of information institutions - the building of Rolex Learning Center of Polytechnical university in Lausanne (Switzerland).
The Polytechnical University is briefly introduced in the text. After that the circumstances of the establishment of the building and the description of exterior and interior are mentioned as well together with the outline of services which are offered inside the building.
The text is accompanied by the photos which were made during the visit to University on May 2011.
