Abstract
The text deals with the natural world view iand its transformations. Linguistic wold view is both stable and dynamic at the same time; however, tis dynamics should nto be too tumultuous to prevent its complete community sharing the same linguistic picture of world.
The globalized world and the trend towards certain unification of cultures, caused especially by media products of Anglo-American origin, which are presented to viewers around the world, has a significant impact on the transformation of linguistic world view - author of tthe article talks about the so-called modified picture of the world, which is produced by pushing out culturally specific texts and connotations by more general foreign concepts that are often contradictory to the cultural tradition of community. Supporting evidence comes mainly from the Czech language.
