The article introduces a currently developed teaching material for high-school combinatorics which is inspired by prof. Hejný's approach for mathematics education.
The aim of the material is to build combinatorics via problems, that come before the underlying theory and terminology. The pupils work with objects prior to giving them names.
The problems are intended to be intriguing and yet simple enough so that the pupils could solve them. We exhibit example problems from different "environments".
The environments are tournaments, paths, translations, and games.
