U.S. Containment Strategy and its Initial Formulation in 1946-1950: From Kennan's Particularist Approach to Universalism of NSC-68

Abstract

This study deals with the inital formulation and implementaion of U.S. containment stratégy towards the Soviet Union (world communism) in the first years of the Cold War. The main aim is to analyse the early formulation and implementation of U.S. containment strategy and its modification in early 1950s.
