Colorectal cancer represents one of the most serious health problems in the area of non communicable diseases, with regards to its incidiousness, epidemiology and costs, a challenge for Czech health services and for the physycians involved in an early diagnostic of this disease: general practitioners, gynaecologists and gastroenterologists. As a result of a screening development the burden of colonoscopy raises and waiting times prolong.
To assure an adequate access of patients to early diagnostic new strategies are needed incl. increase of colonoscopic capacity, optimalization of indications from primary care and rationalization of follow up programs.
