Abstract
Based on the findings at the Archive of the Academy of Science sof the Czech Republic, fourteen notebooks kept by Vojtěch Jarník are analyzed and put into historical perspective. The notes are devoted to Goettingen lectures of distinguished mathematicians in the 1920s.
