Abstract
This article aims to clarify the meaning of "fluidity" as used in the phrase "liquid modernity". It wants to show its wider context in contemporary philosophy, in which one can detect a clear shift from structurally conceived order to process-order, to becoming: this shift does not wholly efface the difference, but it is necessary to see the differentiation in connection with the movement of transition and change.
