Criminals and Police Officers in Czechoslovak Criminal Films : A Contribution to the Development of Depicting Crime in State Socialism

Abstract

The study describes the development of depicting police officers and criminals in the Czechoslovak criminal films of fifties and sixties. It focuses on the forms of the depicted crime and criminals characteristics.

The author also deals with the reflection of the World War Two in criminal films.
