Abstract
The invention is based on the application of polymethinium salts as optical sensor systems. These systems can be used for the determination of tumor markers and this determination can be applied in the detection, diagnosis and therapy of tumor diseases.
These systems are based on structural motif of polymethinium salts, which were prepared from relevant malondialdehydes. Their solubility and selectivity for the target analyte were suitably increased by their substitution of suitable groups.
