Abstract
The article is based on texts by Ivan M. Jirous; it tries to uncover the ethical-philosophical foundations of a certain attitude to life, which was connected in the 70s and 80s with so-called "underground", and to highlight its distinction from the concept of "alternative".
The roots of this attitude could lie both in the demonstration of "ungovernability" as unsuppressible dimension of life, as in the "feeling" connected with a commitment to respond to the situation.
