Abstract

"Avatar" is a specific form of representation of the user in virtual reality. It can be anyone and anything, it can be the avatar or one of many.

A person may use the avatar for months or even years, in time he builds his relationship with it. Via avatar social experience is gained and success or failure experienced.

Is avatar rather a virtual personality or a virtual thing? May identification with the avatar reduce the frustration from non-recognition or failure?
