Abstract
This article presents current information on adverse effects of beta mimetics. This group of drugs is used for their tocolytic effect.
However, since they are acting non-selectively, they also affect other organ systems where the adrenergic receptors are present. This creates a whole spectrum of adverse effects for the mother and her fetus.
